inTuneMP3 is a simple application that lets you download and play music. It is very easy-to-use, lightweight and free.
Don’t get the wrong idea that this tool will help you enhance your music collection and obtain MP3 files of those popular tracks that you hear daily on the radio. Since it attempts to provide only DRM-free music, it actually lets you download and play only a very few tracks, mostly indie. I don’t like calling them no-names, but that’s quite what they are at the moment. Even if they are not exactly popular yet, inTuneMP3 shows a short wiki-like description of these artists, which is a nice touch in my opinion.
Well, even if it doesn’t help you enlarge your music collection or find and download specific songs, inTuneMP3 is a great solution to discover new music and new artists, completely legal and free. It allows you to find the artists by selecting the music genre first. Creating playlists is also possible. On the other hand, the “Radio” menu is hardly of any use, as it only links to some popular online radio services.
To be honest, I don’t know how many people, if any, will actually find this tool useful, considering its limitations and many alternatives that users have nowadays when it comes to accessing their favorite music. Anyway, it’s free, so giving it a try will eventually cost you nothing.
